How Do You Know When to Service Your Water Heater?
Learn the signs from our Temple and Belton, Texas company
Did you have to suffer through a cold shower this morning? A non-functioning water heater is a pretty good reason to call Daugherty Plumbing for repair or replacement of your equipment. Here are some other signs to look out for:
- Rust-colored water – Nobody wants to bathe in rusty water. It could be a sign that your water heater is beginning to rust on the inside. Daugherty Plumbing’s master plumber can find out for sure.
- Leaks – If there’s a pool of water beneath your water heater, the tank may have rusted through. However, because leaks can be caused by other issues such as loose connections, you’ll want to have your heater examined by Daugherty Plumbing.
- Rumbling noises – Sediment will gradually build up at the bottom of every water heater tank. Rumbling or banging sounds when the heater is heating up means the equipment is old and will soon be due for replacement.
